our Safari tents and gîtes

In total, Le Mas d’en Haut features 8 safari tents and 3 gîtes. The safari tents are set well apart from each other, ensuring plenty of privacy. Each gîte has its own unique character, but all three offer the comfort of a fully equipped holiday home.

Spacious Safari Tents

The 8 large safari tents (new since 2020 and 2021) can accommodate up to 6 people, have a floor area of 50 m², and are set on wooden platforms. They feature 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds, separated by wooden partitions, a kitchen with gas burners, a refrigerator, and running (hot) water, as well as a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink, and a living area.

The tents also have a partially covered veranda with a lounge sofa in the frame, a dining table with chairs both inside and outside, two relaxing chairs, and plenty of lighting and power outlets indoors and outdoors. To ensure maximum privacy, the tents are spaced over 20 meters apart. You can even make a campfire in front of the tent if conditions aren’t too dry. This is camping with comfort and luxury!

Comfortable Gîtes

The 3 gîtes each have a living area of approximately 100 m². Gîte 1 and Gîte 2 feature a living room with an open kitchen on the ground floor, and two bedrooms with a bathroom on the upper floor. In Gîte 3, the bedrooms are on the ground floor, keeping them cool even in summer, and there is a huge terrace on the upper floor with central heating. From the terrace, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the fields and the lake.

All 3 gîtes have a wood-burning stove in the living room, a safety gate on the stairs, and kitchens equipped with a dishwasher, oven, and refrigerator. The beds in the gîtes are typically made up for 4 people, but on request, an extra single bed and/or a cot can be added to accommodate 5 or 6 guests.

Onze safaritenten en gîtes

In totaal herbergt le Mas d'en Haut 8 Safaritenten en 3 Gîtes. De Safaritenten zijn op ruime afstand van elkaar geplaatst, zodat je voldoende privacy hebt. Iedere Gîte is een tikkeltje anders, maar alle drie bieden ze het comfort van een volledig vakantieverblijf.

Ruime Safaritenten

De 8 grote Safaritenten (nieuw sinds 2020 en 2021) kunnen tot 6 personen herbergen en staan op een houten vlonder van 50 m2. Ze hebben 2 slaapkamers met goede bedden, afgescheiden door houten wandjes, een keuken met gaspitten, ijskast en stromend (warm) water, een badkamer met een douche, wc en wasbak en een woonkamer. Verder hebben de tenten een gedeeltelijk overdekte veranda met een loungebank in het spant, binnen en buiten een tafel met stoelen, twee relaxstoelen en voldoende verlichting en stopcontacten binnen en buiten. Om optimale privacy te garanderen, staan de tenten op ruim 20 meter van elkaar. Voor de tent kun je een kampvuurtje maken indien het niet te droog is. Dit is kamperen met comfort en luxe!

Comfortabele Gîtes

De 3 Gîtes hebben ieder een woonoppervlakte van ongeveer 100 m2. Gîte 1 en Gîte 2 hebben een woonkamer met open keuken op de begane grond en op de verdieping een badkamer en twee slaapkamers. Bij Gîte 3 zijn de slaapkamers op de begane grond zodat ze zelfs in de zomer lekker koel blijven en er is er een enorm terras op de verdieping. Deze Gîte heeft centrale verwarming. Vanaf het terras heb je een prachtig uitzicht over de landerijen en het meer. De 3 Gîtes hebben een houtkachel in de woonkamer, een traphekje en de keuken is voorzien van een afwasmachine, een oven en een ijskast. De bedden in de Gîtes zijn standaard opgemaakt voor 4 personen en kunnen op verzoek met een extra eenpersoonsbed en/of een campingbedje tot 5 of 6 personen opgemaakt worden.

During the Baby–Toddler–Preschooler Weeks, the estate is a paradise for toddlers and young children who can wander and play freely. Meals are prepared 4 times a week and served a bit earlier than usual. The pool is already comfortably heated, and the children can join in feeding the animals using the golf cart.

  • The rates include: final cleaning, made beds, gas, water, and electricity. They exclude: tourist tax and towels (a set of two towels can be rented for €6). A camping cot and high chair are provided free of charge. Laundry can be done for €6 per load, and a bundle of firewood costs €8.

  • Safari tents and gîtes are standardly for up to 4 people, and can accommodate a maximum of 6 people with an extra bed and/or cot.

  • The rates above for safari tents and gîtes are based on 4 people.

  • For an extra person in a safari tent or gîte, we charge €80 per week.

  • During high season, rentals include a table d’hôtes arrangement: four evenings with starter, main course, and dessert.

  • Outside high season, we also cook four times a week, with table d’hôtes prices ranging from €20 to €25 per adult. Until June 1 and from September 14, 2024, we do not cook for regular guests but do cater for weddings and other events.

  • We are required to collect the tourist tax. The cost for persons over 18 years: Gîte: 2.2% of the gross nightly rate (max €0.99 per person per night) and Safari tent: €0.22 per person per night.

  • Until June 1 and from September 14, 2024, safari tents are also available per night.

  • Fresh bread and croissants, tea and Illy coffee, ice cream, and local beer are available in the “Tower Shop.”

  • All our accommodations have private bathrooms; the safari tents also have a built-in bathroom with shower and toilet.

  • Check-in is Saturday from 4:00 PM and check-out is Saturday before 10:00 AM.

  • All offers, bookings, and agreements with Le Mas d’en Haut are subject to the General Terms and Conditions of Le Mas d’en Haut.
